My Husband and His Sports

Instead of getting any work accomplished, I am sitting here viewing the nfl sunday ticket schedule for my dear husband. He wants to be able to purchase at least one nfl sunday ticket this season. I can't say that I blame him because he loves the sport and nothing is better than watching the game in person. I guess the first order of business is to figure out if I am going to purchase a ticket for myself or not. I had much rather him take a friend that would enjoy it at much as he does.

First thing I am going to do is probably look at the nfl sunday ticket price and I am sure that will be a lot of my deciding factor. I figure what spend the extra money for me a ticket, when I could use the money to buy something I would enjoy doing. This will also allow him the opportunity to take along someone that would enjoy it. Then on the other hand, I might just enjoy spending the day with him. Decisions, decisions.

Going on a Camping Trip

I plan on going with some friends on a camping trip in a few weeks. I am not too fond of the old fashioned way of camping, but I will go rv camping and day of the week. I have always been like this, even when I was a teenager. I can't help it and sometimes my husband makes fun of me. Maybe I just like the amenities too much, I don't know. But I definitely know I don't like sleeping in a tent.

Rehab

I know that drug rehab can be a challenging adventure for anyone. I have had a friend's son that went through a program. Then today I found out that one of my cousin's is going to have to go. I am actually quite proud of him for volunteering to admit himself. I know that takes a lot of courage, and I know that he had to set down a lot of pride to admit he had a problem with drugs. It is for his best interest and I wish him the best of luck.

Spent the Morning Helping My Cousin

I spent most of the morning helping my cousin get ready for her new little baby that is on its way. We went shopping for all types of cool items. First thing she picked out was the bedding and curtains to match. Then we looked for some accessories that would match. She decided to go with Peter Rabit for her theme and to tell you the truth, I love it. It is going to be so adorable once everything is all in the room.

I promised her that next weekend, I would help her go look for nursery furniture. I was so happy she invited to me to tag along for this because looking for furniture is probably one of my favorite kinds of shopping for a room. It has been years since I helped to decorate a baby's room, so this is going to be a great little adventure. She knows she is having a baby boy, so I have to keep that in mind when helping her look for new things. I never got this opportunity since I only had a daughter. My stepson was already three when he came to live with us.

This is also going to help me in deciding what to get her as a gift for her upcoming baby shower. Now I get to see all the things she likes and dislikes as we are shopping. I am hoping for a clue as to what she just can't live without. I want to be able to get her something that is extremely nice and unique because she has done so much to help me in the past few years. If it hadn't been for her then I don't know where I would be in my life right now. It scares me to even think about it.

My Theater at Home

As many of you already may know, I have been working on my own personal theater for my home. I have almost finished converting my room, but there are a few final purchases I need to make. In fact, it is some of the most important parts to complete my room. I'm not sure why I have put off my home theater seating until the last thing, but maybe it's because I want to make sure I purchase something that is so comfortable that I never want to leave the room.

My husband warned me from the beginning that if I was going to have this type of room, that the home theater chairs were what makes the room so great. I totally agree. Nothing beats sitting and watching the big screen while being uncomfortable. I tried to explain this to my teenage daughter and she thought I was crazy. This was until she visited my friends house and checked out her seats. She now knows what I am talking about. So, this weekend I plan on shopping for this important item. I hope by the following weekend we will be sitting in our new room and enjoying it as much as my friend and her husband enjoys theirs.

My Daughter and Her Algebra

My daughter is starting to advance in her college math and now is realizing she is going to have to get some Algebra help. I keep telling her, it would be in her best interest to find an Algebra tutor, so today I started researching Algebra tutoring online for her.

After searching and digging for information, I come across some Online algebra tutoring that would be perfect for her. Not to mention, it is Free online algebra help. You can't beat that. I only wish I would have had this type of opportunities when I were in school or college. Joint Replacements

Being a person with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I can honestly tell you joint replacements are not any fun. It can be a major ordeal when having this surgery, and it can take a good bit of time to recover. I have had both of my knees replaced and one shoulder. It was not a fun experience. Although, I am happy to have that milestone behind me, I know many people suffer from surgeries that didn't turn out as good as mine.

A Friend's New Business

A friend of mine just opened up a new business, and she has been in the process of trying to find a good company for her order fulfillment. I had no idea that it would have been this easy. I sat down with her last night as we researched some of the companies available for this type of thing. She did make a decision and I will let you know how it goes with them in case anyone else might be searching for the same type of help. This should be interesting.

Alarm Systems

We've been considering a some type of safety alarm for our house, so needless to say, I have been investigating some different home alarm systems. There are tons of great ones available on the market today, but I want to make sure I get one that is going to do what I need it to. It is nice knowing when you leave your home that you don't have to worry about someone coming in it and taking what belongs to you. I hope that by then end of the week I will have one of these on the way to be installed.

Looking for Drivers

My husband and I have spent most of Saturday morning trying to find some deals on drivers. First we started looking for Sound Drivers and Video Drivers for his computer. We wanted to make sure we were getting what we actually needed and not to mention at the cheapest deal we could find. My husband has a pet peeve about ordering something and it not turning out to be what you want it to be. Of course, it doesn't thrill me when that happens, but he really has a issue with it. That's why I figured it would be best to let him pick out what he thought he needed for his computer.

Now when ordering USB Drivers for my computer, I offered a little more input. I figure it's for my computer, so why now? I knew what I wanted and knew how much I would pay for it, so how could I go wrong. I am so glad we found everything we needed in one sitting. I just hate shopping with him.

No Electricity for Hours

I didn't realize how addicted I am to my Direct TV until the electricity was off last night. I love to sit in the evenings while trying to unwind from a long days work and watch my DirectTV. It is not only past time, but it keeps my mind from wondering back on everything I haven't accomplished for the day.

Last night, the electricity went out because of some storms at about 6:00 PM. Of course, it would happen right before night time tv is suppose to start. If only they made a Direct TV System that would just kick back on with some type of generator, then life would be grand. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful and very pleased with Direct TV Service, but what's wrong with dreaming? Maybe that's a thought for some great invention for some of those folks who work there. I bet it would bring in tons of sales.

My Cousin and Her Fortune Telling

My cousin love fortune teller readings. She always has enjoyed this and really got a kick out it. So, today I was telling her about Ann Brook, the Caring Psychic. As much as she love tarot reading, then I told her she should check it out. I kind of think it is neat myself, but can't honestly say I have never tried any type of it, but if you love psychic reading, then you should check her out also.

I would love to hear from anyone who has given this a try and what kind of outcome it was. Did you the predictions come true and how close was the prediction if it didn't. It has always been an interest of mine and had my curiosity up. I know my cousin loves it so much, so I am constantly asking her all the details each time she has one done.

I Like Different Things

I have always been the type of person that likes things a little different than the ordinary, especially when it comes to decorating my house. So, I've decided to do a little shopping to see what I can find. Here lately I have had the urge to redecorate some of the rooms in my house. I suppose it comes from watching my cousin decorate her nursery for her little one that will be arriving soon. She bought all types of neat little things in the shabby chic baby furniture line.

First, I decided to look at some shabby chic furniture appliques, because this would give me the opportunity to spice up some of the furniture that I already own instead of going out and buying all new. Plus, I have some furniture that I don't want to part with, but really needs a face lift. If you ask me, appliques are a perfect idea for furniture like this.

Next, I want to look in to some new beach shabby chic furniture. I have a sun room at my house, that is in major need of some redecorating. It doesn't feel too much like a sun room right now, and I want to change that feeling. My husband agrees with me, so maybe this won't be a situation where he doesn't think we need to spend the money. He, also, likes to have a house that is decorated nicely, so I'm lucky on that end. I'll definitely have to let you know what kind of unique things I run across. I might even want the opinions from others, so stay tuned and wish me luck.

Once, I finish with the sun room, then I plan to move on to the kitchen. I always leave this room for last since it seems to be the main room in my house. I have always said, when you are redecorating or remodeling your kitchen, it really causes your entire house to be out of commission.

Helping a Friend

This morning I am on a mission to help a friend find a computer that she can find on sale. She doesn't really need anything spectacular, but she does want something that will last her for a couple of years. I started searching around and comparing what is available. I ran across a HP Pavilion A6720F Desktop on buy.com, which I think is a very good deal. The 640GB hard drive may be a little more than she really needs, but with this type of price you can't go wrong. On top of that, they are offering free shipping. I Love Vacations

We just got back from a small vacation. It was so nice and relaxing, and I would recommend anyone that has a stressful job to take a few days and go on this kind of vacation. We looked at several different Myrtle Beach Resorts and was very pleased with the one we stayed at.

A friend of mine has been looking into some Myrtle Beach Hotels for her vacation coming up in a couple of months. I told her she would not be disappointed with this area at all. There are tons of shopping and activities, not to mention the beach, which I truly enjoy. If you've thought about getting away for a few days then you should definitely look into a Myrtle Beach Resort for you and your family. My daughter and husband had rather go to this beach any time. They love it almost as good as I do.

New Items for My Kitchen

This weekend I spent some time doing a little cleaning in my kitchen. I have decided it's time to buy a few items to change things up a bit. Nothing major, but a little bit of accessories. A friend of mine is really in to jk adams products, so I decided to look at a few of them myself.

I have been wanting a wine rack for quite some time now, and I found a really neat jk adams wine rack. It would actually fit perfectly in my dining room, so I am considering one of them. I also noticed they have some really cool jk adams spice rack, and that is also something I have not only wanted but needed for a long time. I was showing these two items to my husband, and he found a couple of things he thought we needed as well. One of them was a jk adams pot rack. I liked it too, but the other thing he said we needed badly was a jk adams cutting board. I guess after shopping around for kitchen items I have my work cut out for me this week. While both my husband and myself is in the mood for buying items for the kitchen, I will try to make my purchase tomorrow or Tuesday.
