First Grooming

Today I am taking my little 5 month old shih-tzu for a pawdicure. That's what they call it at Petsmart. It's not actually a full blown grooming, but it is something to get her use to being worked on. I know we will have many grooming sessions throughout her lifespan, so I am hoping this will help. The pawdicure is a package that involves cleaning her ears, brushing her teeth and clipping her nails. I'm also going to have them tie her hair on top of her head. The poor little puppy is getting where she can't see for all the hair hanging in her eyes. Well wish me luck, I hope she isn't too bad and is on her best behavior.

Finished Some Baby Shopping

I finally finished doing some shopping for my cousin's new baby that's on the way. I decided to buy something else in addition to the baby clothes. I wanted her to have something special that she would always remember me by, plus she bought me a nice gift when my daughter was born.

So I decided to go ahead and buy her a car seat. I know that my cousin and her husband's budget is pretty tight right now with him just now starting his new job, so I thought it would be nice to buy a more costly gift. She would do the same for me. In fact, when I was expecting my first child, she bought me a beautiful stroller along with some baby clothes. So, this is the least I can do for them. Now, I can't wait until the baby shower and she gets to see what I picked out for her. I know it is one she will love because we have already looked at them online. But she had mentioned she couldn't afford this one and would have to settle for a cheaper made one. She is going to be thrilled.

We are Looking into CDs

For the past couple of weeks, my husband and I have been trying to figure out the best CD rates. It isn't an easy task, well it wasn't until I come across the best site ever. It is called selectcdrates.com. We were able to browse through the different CD rates in all the states. Talk about being convenient with it all listed right there in one place.

Now, we just have to decide on how much money we are going to put in a CD. We both have a different opinion on this issue, but I am sure we will come to some sort of agreement. That is the toughest part about figuring out which bank to use. Now it's never going to be as hard anymore.

It's Fun Shopping for Babies

I just love being able to shop for babies. Nothing beats looking around at baby clothes and trying to pick out the perfect thing for your baby's wardrobe. I have a baby shower coming up soon, and I want to find some unique baby clothes for my cousin's new baby that is due in August.

I need to keep in mind that she will probably get tons of baby items and I was thinking maybe it would be best to look into toddler clothes for her. She doesn't know if she will be having a boy or a girl, so I would like to find some items that could be worn by either. I remember when I had my daughter, that I spent a few months returning items that were for a little boy. For my cousin, I would love to help her avoid this happening. I know there are tons of little outfits out there that are for each sex, so that is what I am going to be looking at.

Everyone's Been Sick

Don't you just hate it when everyone is the house gets sick? It makes it very difficult to have someone wait on you when there is no one feeling good. I managed to get out of bed and feel a little better this afternoon, but I know if I would go to the doctor, I could feel better faster. This would require me getting ready, and I don't know if I can do that. I would love to hear about any remedies for curing a sinus infections. Anybody know anything good that might work?

Owning a Franchise

I have had it in the back of mind for years that I would really love to own a franchise. I am not exactly sure what kind, but I do know it is something I am definitely going to look into in the near future. However, I would prefer to go into business with a partner.

I feel like having a partner has it's ups and downs. The good thing about it is when you want to take some time off or go on vacation then each of you can take it time about doing so. I know there are negatives to having a partner as well. So, it is important to have someone you trust and get along with extremely well.

Finding the perfect franchise for sale is going to be a task. I want something I know a little bit about already and something I enjoy selling. It's not all about the money, it is also about enjoying my job. Since I am a shopaholic, maybe it would be best I own something in retail. I have tons of knowledge when it comes to clothing or shoes. What ever the case may be, it is something I have on my agenda to look into fairly soon.

Looking for Tickets

My husband is constantly looking around online for tickets. Since he has several trips up to the Northeast United States coming up, then he plans on attending some sporting events. I can't say I blame him, because if it were me then I would want to get in some shopping while on a business trip. He spends many hours in an office and this is his only fun and excitement he gets for the entire trip.

So, last night I went online to see if I could find some New York Giants Tickets. I found a couple good deals with really good seats, but he wants to make sure he can't beat those seats. Therefore, he told me he would check it out when he got back home. Needless to say he also found himself some New York Jets Tickets. Now today he is going to be looking for some Pittsburgh Steelers Tickets because he loves to watch them too. I truly hope he enjoys his business trip, because he hates to be away from home.

Great Search Engine

Nothing beats a great search engine. I have been trying out a new one called Local.com. They have the best local yellowpages I have found up to this point. It can really come in handy when your sitting in a motel room in some strange city and your wanting to find out what local restaurants they have available. That is exactly what my husband and I did the other night when we were in a city outside of Nashville.

Whatever the case may be, and whatever local search you may need to find. Local.com can find it for you. Whether it be driving directions or just contact information. I have used them numerous amount of times to check and see what time a business will be closing. It has saved me on more than one occasion from going to the store after hours. In Need of Cash?

Planning Another Trip

I sat down today to try and plan another trip for my family and some other friends. We are interested in Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations and love it when we find something at a good deal. My husband and my friend's husband enjoy playing golf. So my friend and I enjoy tagging along just so we can have some beach time.

I had her searching around online for Myrtle Beach Golf Packages also. I figured that we could compare notes on what we come up with. According to our husbands, nothing beats a Golf Myrtle Beach Vacation. It's so nice to all be pleased and enjoy a vacation that we all can enjoy. After my friend and I spend a day at the beach or shopping, then our husbands come in from their hobby game and we all go out to dinner together. I can't wait to go again. I truly need a another vacation soon.

Interesting College Courses

I was talking with a friend today about her taking some college courses. I feel like your never too old to return to college or to learn something new, so I think this is a great idea for her. She was laid off from her previous job and wants to find some other type of work she would be interested in doing.

She mentioned her HIST Paper and I immediately ask her what she was referring too. It turns out she is was talking about the college classes she is taking online. I knew she was attending a campus, but until today, I had no idea how simple it is for her to take the classes from home. As she kept talking about her HIST Essay that will be due on Monday, she has my undivided attention. It made me realize how I would probably enjoy taking some classes again if I could do them from home. I am suppose to go over to her house tomorrow night for dinner and she is going to explain the entire thing to me. I am starting to get more and more anxious. You would think I would have already signed up by the way I was acting.

There are Treatments for Substance Abuse

I have a friend in another state that calls me about once a week. This past week on our call we were discussing some issues about her son and his Inpatient Substance Abuse. He has struggled with this abuse for many year and is just now come to the terms of having a problem. I told her about another friend of mine that was involved in Inpatient Eating Disorder. I suggested she give her a call because I knew it would help her to know what to expect. I know that Inpatient Eating Disorders Treatment Programs may not be exactly the same, but it still an issue that a family has and it would help her know what ways to go about supporting her son. She would also like to know more about the rehab, and I knew my other friend could offer her support and information that I wouldn't be able too. It truly saddens me to hear how she is having to go through this alone. She has been a single mother for many years and I know it's a lot of heartache and pain for one person to have to deal with. I just hope I can support her in the way she needs it.

Life Insurance is Important

My friends and I were having a discussion about how important life insurance really is to a family. Finding low cost life insurance can be a challenge, but it's not impossible. I know it is possible because of a relative that I have has some that is not expensive at all. She was sharing information about it the other day, so I am going to be checking that place out first.

Once I have looked into it more, than I am definitely going to be sharing the information with my friends. I think it would put a lot of minds at ease to know they have some affordable life insurance that will help their family in times of need. I know it may be the last thing on a person's mind, but when you have seen incidents happen to families, then it will really get you to thinking about what your family would do if something happen to you.

Turn on the Light

We have a room in our house, actually it is the family room, that has such low light, that I am trying to search around for some lighting I can purchase to help this room. It has been an issue for well over a year now, and I have been putting it off longer than I should have. Just last night my husband was complaining about how he couldn't even read the newspaper because the lighting was so low.

I started out looking at what type of lamps I could buy, preferably fine art lamps, but I can't make a decision on those. I ask for my husband's opinion and he seems to be leaning more toward kichler lighting. I'm not really very picky, I just want something to help this room. I have put it on my "to do" list for this upcoming week. I plan on eliminating this issue before the month is over.

Call Center Work

My next door neighbor owns a call center. She mostly does work for doctors and lawyers, but is thinking about adding on some more clients. Just yesterday she asked if I might know anything about voice recognition software for call center. She knew I use to work for one a year or so ago and thought I might be familiar with which software they used.

I truly enjoy seeing someone make it in today's economic times and was more than happy to help her and recommend what I knew. I informed her about ivr call center technology and tried to tell her everything I knew. Of course, not knowing a whole lot, it still gave her something to start with and be able to know what way to go in order to check out what she is needing. I am so excited to see how well she does with this type of business. I can imagine is it going to be a great accomplishment once she makes it bigger and gains a few more clients.

Camping Trip

Ever been camping? My family & I really enjoy it and go every chance we get. If you've never been then you should try to go gettysburg camping. We love rv camping gettysburg. It is truly the best.

Last summer we went pa rv camping, and really enjoyed it there too. We even took our bicycles and some other things with us to keep ourselves entertained. Some of our other friends and family came from a nearby town and we grilled out and had a really good time. It was so peaceful and nothing else to do but take time to enjoy ourself. It's nice sometimes to get away from the hussle and bussle of work. My husband rarely gets to do that unless we go camping. Maybe I should plan a camping trip more often instead of just once a year. Now with all this talk about it, I'm ready to go again.

So Many Neat Things with Surgery

I didn't realize, until I had two friends that talk about nursing all the time, what neat things they get to use in the surgery rooms. Just yesterday we were discussing Medical Corkscrew Electrodes. They talked about which FDA approved corkscrew electrodes were allowed in their operating room and which were not. It's actually kind of neat when you think about it. Most people don't ever see the inside of one of those room since they are already asleep.
