Planning a Vacation

There is a lot of work into planning a long vacation. Of course, long to me is a week, since we don't usually get to take one longer than that. I started out looking at Vacation Rental By Owner first, since I sometimes can get and idea of where we would like to go, not to mention I have found some really good deals there in the past. Then I hopped on over to Vacations to Go and looked around at what type of specials on different packages they are having at the present time. Normally, we try and take a cruise once a year, but I haven't looked at Carnival yet to see what the rates are on those. There is one place my husband and I have never been, and that is the Grand Canyon. We both would like to go, but it takes some major planning. I figure if we try to go there then we would also want to go to Las Vegas as well. What is your plans for vacation this year?

What Kind of Water Are You Drinking?

I was reading the site EatingWell.com about the difference in Bottle Water vs. Tap Water. I was curious of which was healthier for me and my family to drink. According to their article, 40% of bottled water is just filtered tap water. Can you believe that? It's not from natural springs or any other "pure" sources. They say there are many studies prooving that bottle water is really no safer or better for you than getting it straight from the tap.

Finding Tall Sizes

With me being 5 ft 10 in. it's not always easy to find pants or jeans that I like. I normally always have to purchase a tall size and do you realize how hard that is to find? It can be very frustrating when your trying to find that pair of jeans or dress pants that your searching for. I know I am doing nothing but complaining, but I have just spent hours on the internet trying to find me a pair pants that I have been wanting for a long time. With no such luck, I guess I'll be doing without AGAIN!

What's Cooking?

I just hate having to decide what to cook. It is like some sort of punishment for me. When I ask anyone in my family what they want for dinner, they come back with one of them I don't know answers! Can't they just give me some clues? I don't mind cooking at all. That is not the problem. It the decision making that gets next to me. Then at times I feel like I cook something and they wish I would have cooked something totally different. What's up with that? I think I am going to start making a menu at the beginning of the week and if they want to change it then fine. But then I won't have any decisions to make through out the week. Not to mention, it should make grocery shopping a lot easier. Am I the only one that has this problem? Or is this normal?

Going to the Casino

I just love going to the Casino. It is probably one of my favorites little vacations away from home. We live approximately 4 hours from Tunica, Mississippi, so we normally go to Sam's Town Casino. I don't always win, but I have to admit that more times than not, I have pretty good luck. My husband, however, doesn't always play. He had much rather sit and read his book, but that's okay by me. It just means more money for me to play with. He claims he doesn't have good luck, but I don't believe that at all. It's just not his cup of tea. If I had to pick my favorite game, I guess I would say the simple slot machines. However, I do enjoy roulette and three card poker. I know many people enjoy Black Jack, but it's not really one of my favorites. I cannot think of one time that I have won at that game. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Car Remote Controls

We bought a Santa Fe just a few months ago and decided that we would like to have an extra keyless remote for it. I always carry mine, but my husband wants one too. Therefore, we started searching around and found out you could purchase them brand new on ebay. Well little did we know that once they are purchased then you have to figure out how to program them. I am so proud of my husband, he researched and together we figured out how to do it. I decided at that moment that I wanted to help others that might run into the same type situation.
