I Like Different Things

I have always been the type of person that likes things a little different than the ordinary, especially when it comes to decorating my house. So, I've decided to do a little shopping to see what I can find. Here lately I have had the urge to redecorate some of the rooms in my house. I suppose it comes from watching my cousin decorate her nursery for her little one that will be arriving soon. She bought all types of neat little things in the shabby chic baby furniture line.

First, I decided to look at some shabby chic furniture appliques, because this would give me the opportunity to spice up some of the furniture that I already own instead of going out and buying all new. Plus, I have some furniture that I don't want to part with, but really needs a face lift. If you ask me, appliques are a perfect idea for furniture like this.

Next, I want to look in to some new beach shabby chic furniture. I have a sun room at my house, that is in major need of some redecorating. It doesn't feel too much like a sun room right now, and I want to change that feeling. My husband agrees with me, so maybe this won't be a situation where he doesn't think we need to spend the money. He, also, likes to have a house that is decorated nicely, so I'm lucky on that end. I'll definitely have to let you know what kind of unique things I run across. I might even want the opinions from others, so stay tuned and wish me luck.

Once, I finish with the sun room, then I plan to move on to the kitchen. I always leave this room for last since it seems to be the main room in my house. I have always said, when you are redecorating or remodeling your kitchen, it really causes your entire house to be out of commission.
